Recently I purchased MagicLight WiFi Smart LED RGB Light Bulbs to brighten up my room. After installing them and playing with the android app I noticed there was no Web Gui or portal to control them. So I decided to take action and create one myself here. I wanted to do this because I was annoyed of always pulling my phone out to change the lights. This way I could run it on a local server and just pull up a local page to control them.
Well its been a nice run! I have finally finished my course at The Flatiron Schools Full Stack Web Development Course. Over the course I have learned everything from the basics to advanced content. Coming from a CS background and Web Development background Ruby became close to me as it was an extremely elegeant and beautiful language to code in. Most likely I will never look back at PHP again since that is where I started, especially with the Rails Framework which made creating full apps a breeze. Learning angularJS was also an interesting part of the course as it really showed how powerful frameworks can be in creating dynamic single web page apps.
When you are feeling down, Tacos will always make your day better. Due to this i decided to build a AngularJS based app which finds your nearest Taco joint. This way you can quickly and easily find that joy in your life by running to your closest taco joint.
Working off my last project, I added a jQuery front end. This rails app allows users to post projects under categories and create tasks and post comments.
For my Ruby on Rails application I decided to create a project manager. This rails app allows users to post projects under categories and create tasks and post comments.
